You can purchase prepaid electricity on the new Capitec app and the electricity token will be sent via SMS to your cellphone. To purchase electricity using Capitec App, follow the following procedure:
- Open the Capitec app
- On the home screen select “Buy Electricity”
- Add Beneficiary
- Key in the meter number, Beneficiary name and cellphone number (where the PIN number will be sent).
- Click add
- Key in your Cellphone Banking PIN number
- Confirm
- Key in amount and select from which account
- Confirm
